Distribution Warehouse

VNHA was contracted to utilize 3D Laser Scanning to document the settlement of the concrete floor of a 200K square foot beer distribution warehouse. The warehouse was built on historic fill on a site in Newark close to the bay. Ground conditions and the over loading of the floor caused significant settlement. VNHA was tasked with establishing an initial floor slab as-built survey showing elevation deviations at a consistent grid spacing. This survey was repeated again in 2016 to monitor the floor for significant change from the survey performed in 2015. This survey data is being utilized by the Client to assist in establishing where the concrete floor has the most deviation requiring attention to those areas first.
