Van Note-Harvey has regularly served on green building design teams for a variety of facilities qualifying for LEED Certification. Our Firm provides LEED Accredited Professionals at both the principal and staff levels, and is an active member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). For the Site/Civil Engineering discipline sustainable design focuses on linking natural and man-made systems to achieve balanced environmental outcomes that improve the quality of life and long-term health of the community in addition to the sustainability of a given project site.

Specific LEED credit initiatives employed by Van Note-Harvey have included the prerequisite for Construction Activity Pollution Prevention, credits for Site Selection, Alternative Transportation, Site Development, Stormwater Management, Heat Island Effect, and Light Pollution Reduction.
