Engineer

Cape May Court House

VNHA currently has an opening in its Cape May Court House office for a full-time Engineer. Primary responsibilities include the completion of site design of road and utility projects, including drawings, supporting calculations, and report writing. Under direction from the department manager, the applicant is expected to compete site design of road and utility projects, all within budgetary and time deadlines. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification Minimum of three (3) to four (4) years’ experience in civil engineering Must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 or later Proficiency in road layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, erosion control, municipal and land use regulatory approvals, etc. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently Strong communication and interpersonal skills Valid driver’s license (clean record) NJ Professional Engineer’s License; NICET certification; and/or experience with land use permitting and/or working on public works projects a plus but not required.

VNHA currently has an opening in its Princeton office for a full-time Design Engineer. Primary responsibilities include the completion of site design of land development projects, including drawings, supporting calculations, and report writing. Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Princeton

VNHA currently has an opening in its Princeton office for an experienced full-time senior design water/wastewater engineer. Under direction from the department manager, the applicant is expected to complete design of water and wastewater projects. Primary responsibilities include the production of mechanical and technical drawings and maps using AutoCAD; compute mathematical formulas to develop design; check dimensions of materials to be used and prepare scaled engineering drawings; lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, and/or angle views to depict functional relationships of components and assemblies; review and analyze manufacturer’s specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related date to assess factors affecting project design; and develop detailed design drawings and specifications for pump stations and piping systems, conveyance mains, equipment and controls. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in water/wastewater treatment and conveyance design for a public and/or private utility. Must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 or later, Plant Design Suite (mechanical), and drafting. Effective writing skills, including preparation of reports and technical specifications. Effective verbal skills, including the ability to make presentations and/or communicate effectively with project team members and clients. Valid driver’s license (clean record).
