Design Engineer
August 15, 2018

Princeton

VNHA currently has an opening for a full-time Design Engineer. Primary responsibilities include the completion of site design of land development projects, including drawings, supporting calculations, and report writing. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in civil engineering, Must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 or later, Proficiency in site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, erosion control, municipal and land use regulatory approvals, etc., Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently, Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and Valid driver’s license (clean record). A NJ Professional Engineer’s License or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification; Master’s Degree in Civil Engineer; and/or experience with land use permitting and/or river and stormwater modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, Pondpack, Bentley software) a plus but not required.

Construction Inspector

VNHA currently has an opening for a full-time Construction Inspector in our Cape May Court House branch. Under direction from the department manager, the employee is expected to provide construction observation and reporting for private sector and Public Agency Capital Improvement Infrastructure Projects, including water supply and distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection and treatment systems, storm sewer systems, and pavement construction. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED, Minimum 10 years experience with heavy civil construction projects, Good communications skills with the ability to work with others and interface with the public, Self-motivated, organized, and focused, with good attention to detail, and Valid driver’s license (clean record). NICET certification a plus but not required.

Environmental Scientist

VNHA is currently interviewing for a full-time Environmental Scientist. Under direction from the Environmental Services Department Manager, the employee is responsible for the planning and completion of field work and sampling for mapping and reporting purposes and preparation and submission of land use applications, environmental applications, and technical reports REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science or related degree, 3 to 5 years of recent experience (additional experience a plus), Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently, and Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. AutoCAD and GIS experience a plus but not required.

Survey Technician
August 15, 2018

Princeton

Under direction of the department manager, the employee is expected to perform field survey data processing for importing into CAD platform, prepare CAD drawings (including but not limited to: ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, and topographic survey plans, construction layouts, and grade sheets), incorporation of subdivision plats, deeds, and drawing files into maps, creation and modifications of maps for special assignments, as well as other supportive duties as needed. Experience with MicroStation, 3DLS data processing, and any survey and/or engineering-related college coursework a plus but not required. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED (College Degree a Plus), Minimum of 3 years recent experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 or later, Minimum of 2 years experience in land surveying-related CAD work, Strong math and computer skills, and Valid driver’s license (clean record).
